Curtis, 66, said that despite disagreeing with nearly every viewpoint Kirk had expressed publicly, she saw him as a husband, father, and “man of faith.” She shared that she hoped in his final moments he felt connected to whatever faith he clung to, even if she found some of his ideas “abhorrent.”
According to Entertainment Weekly, Curtis also mistakenly referred to Kirk as “Charlie Crist” during the podcast—later clarifying the error as a reflection of his religious conviction.
